Give us your dreams and we’ll steal your soul.

   Posted by: Scrivener

Untitled-1Well, not really. But if asked we will interpret your dream for you at no charge.

A friend of ours asked us to interpret a dream she had. Below is our analysis of this dream.

We (Kris and I) were in a pole type barn, where the back is enclosed and the front is open but very tall. There was a very long strange semi parked in the front of the barn in a half moon shape around the front of the open part of the barn. It was parked sooo close to the sides, I kept being concerned it would hit the sides. There were sections in the truck bed part, it was open from the bottom to the top (the sides were open) almost like it was for a traveling act or something. But I did not see anything that would concrete that.

Any time you see a structure that is central to your dream, it represents yourself—think of your body as a building with many rooms where the doors open onto different facets of your psyche.

The semi-truck in your dream represents feelings of weighted down or that you are doing more than your fair share. A semi-trailer can also symbolize size and power. But in this case since it was parked so close to the barn (yourself), I suggest that this rather large truck represents something (or someone) who is impinging upon your feelings of well-being. Also the fact that it was parked in a semi-circle or half-moon shape or that there was a half-moon shape on the barn and the fact that Kris was there is reminiscent of the High Priestess in the Tarot.

The High Priestess tells you to trust your hunches and to spend time meditating upon the meaning of your dreams. You should look for coincidences (actually synchronicities) while you go about your daily business.

Me and Kris helped the man (loud deep voice) unknown man (had a beard) put something on the truck towards the front in the back, there was a huge semi tires above our heads diagonally.  I grabbed Kris and told her I did not like the way the tire looked and for us to get out. I was gasping for air for real I was aware of this but did not want to wake up. Felt like choking.

The fact that you didn’t want to wake up and thus didn’t tells me that what you experienced is something called a lucid dream. A lucid dream is a dream where you know that you’re dreaming and to some extent, control your dream.

The bearded man represents your animus or the male energy within yourself. He could also represent a strong male figure in your life. The package, which you and Kris lifted onto the truck bed, indicates a problem or issue in your life that you may be repressing or ignoring. You in effected packed it away. Notice that you packed it upon the truck, which was blocking or endangering the barn (yourself).

Seeing tires in a dream may signify that it’s time to release the past and move on. Yet in this dream you are afraid of the tires.

So you jump off the truck and it leaves. This is a visual metaphor literally missing the boat of a new opportunity. You see the truck as “dangerous” so when it leaves taking the missed opportunity with it you are back in your comfort zone.

A choking sensation in a dream in a dream can suggest several things. In this case, I believe that you are ‘choking’ on your inhibitions, not fully following your aspirations or perhaps you are ‘choking’ back your opinions and emotions.

The truck started moving and it was dangerous or I felt danger, so we walked above the barn in a field. It was dusk and I was just able to see things. There were chairs around this little table? Or a log set up like a small side table next to Kris. I was sitting to Kris’s left. The table was closer to her. I asked her if she was afraid the truck would destroy the barn she grabbed a domino but larger looking thing with a picture what looked like a tree on it. I could not make the picture out as it was dusk and I was focusing on the fact as well I was unable to breathe. She said it was protected by …. I did not make the rest out of what she said. On the side of the table/log was a tic tac toe looking board but had more columns long ways and she placed the domino thing on the board and it stayed. There was also another domino thing in the space above the one she put.

In this part of your dream, Kris signifies the high-priestess and the dominos you see are actually runes. See my remarks below regarding the act of having your runes read. So, the domino was actually a rune. You said that the ‘domino’ had a symbol on it like a tree. In the Elder Futhark, the rune which most looks like a tree is the rune, Algiz. Algiz is a protection rune (which may be the protection for the barn which Kris was speaking of when you asked her about the truck harming the barn.) What this means is that you shouldn’t fear this new opportunity, which has withdrawn for the time being but will present itself again.

The symbol you saw may have looked like the image to the left. This stylized tree represents Yggdrasil, the Norse tree of life. Yggdrasil is analogous to the Kabbalistic tree of the ten sephiroths.

“Yggdrasil is an immense ash tree that is central and considered very holy. The gods go to Yggdrasil daily to assemble at their things. The branches of Yggdrasil extend far into the heavens, and the tree is supported by three roots that extend far away into other locations; one to the well Urðarbrunnr in the heavens, one to the spring Hvergelmir, and another to the well Mímisbrunnr. Creatures live within Yggdrasil, including the wyrm (dragon) Níðhöggr, an unnamed eagle, and the stags Dáinn, Dvalinn, Duneyrr and Duraþrór.” –Wikipedia

Yggdrasil is Odin’s tree and a symbol of power and courage that encourages you to be bold in your endeavors and follow your just now developing psychic instincts.

The other remaining domino (rune) which you couldn’t quite make out is your yet unfolded future. The runes, the tarot, and other divinations impel, they do not compel; you still have the free will to listen to this advice and act on it or ignore it should you choose to do so.

 I was gasping

See above: choking.

She said some things but they were not able to be understood because I was gasping, she then said as I heard people approach “here comes ? and Thomas” “he will read your runes” The man had a beard and dark hair but not the same as the first man. I assume he sat on my left. There was conversation but I was not able to make out anything because I was not breathing and trying to get a breath.

Having your runes read in a dream depicts magick in your life. You are following the lead of the High Priestess (Kris), listening to your intuition, and following your fate.

She had some things there with names on them. She passed me a pen with a symbol on it and the name LEO I assumed it was for the man next to me as this was not my name.

To see a pen in a dream signifies communication either written or spoken or perhaps some other form of self-expression. The name Leo and the symbol (I’m assuming your sub-conscious probably meant the astrological symbol for Leo), wasn’t the name of bearded man #2 (another expression of your animus) but rather the astrological sign, Leo.

Leo’s are courageous and outgoing—their symbol is a lion so draw your own conclusions from that as to their fearless nature. Leo’s are also creative and like to be center-stage believing themselves to be the rulers of the universe.

Woke up gasping.

When you are in discomfort in a dream, it’s not unusual to wake up with a start.

The Sun of the Gods is the Christian Devil

   Posted by: Scrivener

Well, not really but it makes for an interesting catch line.

The magic square of the Sun’s six rows and columns add up to 111 producing a sum of 666. The Sun therefore resonates with the number 666 or taking the Cartesian product of 6662 or 443,556. Using Kabalistic reduction 443556 becomes 4 + 4 + 3 + 5 + 5 + 6 = 27 = 2 + 7 = 9.

Sun-Magic Square

Nine is the number of leadership (well, the sun is the head of solar system—probably why they call it the solar system) and humanitarianism. Nine is also the number of completion just as all nine in the pip cards of the Tarot symbolize the ending of a cycle and reaping the rewards of your efforts. The ninth card of the Tarot is the hermit.

The hermit has withdrawn from the mundane to search for the truth of the universe, but like the sun, he doesn’t hide his lamp rather he shines it from a prominence just as the sun shines from above illuminating everything below. It could further be stated that without the life-giving rays from above no manifestation of life below on Earth would be possible: as above, so below.

The ninth rune is Hagalaz. Hagalaz signals a major shift of energies as the Elder Futhark begins its second row of aetts. Hagalaz is the rune of objective confrontation with past patterns. It will uncover the vast flow of energies around and through human energy systems. Its nature is completely impersonal and it represents power generally beyond human ability to harness. In some ways this rune is much like The World or Wheel of Fortune tarot cards as those cards also indicate powerful forces at work but largely forces which may not be influenced by human behavior.

Some numerical coincidences of the number 666; and I don’t believe in coincidences are that the Tropic of Cancer is 66.6 degrees from the North pole, the Tropic of Capricorn is 66.6 degrees from the South Pole, the Equator is 66.6 degrees from the Arctic and Antarctic circles, and the Earth’s average orbital speed is 66,666 miles per hour (99.9%).

To complete the reduction, we can take the square root of nine (remember 666 was squared to give 443556.) That of course leaves us with 3. The Empress (the Empress is the third card in the tarot deck) rules threes in the tarot. The Empress is the supernal mother and thus nurtures new beginnings just as the threes in each of the tarot suits suggest a new beginning begun and initial first steps made.

To round out the discussion, the third rune, Thurisaz, tells us that we’ve made the right choices and taken the correct steps to put ourselves in the right place and the right time but now the best action is to take no action at all. Typically you might draw this rune after a magickal working, a tarot reading, or something as mundane as ajob interview. You’ve done all you can so now relax and trust in yourself and the universe.

The Magic square of the Sun is from Heinrich Cornelius Agrippa’s book, “De Occulta Philosophia

These repetitions of sixes are reminiscent of how the Dome of the Rock in Jerusalem is 666 nautical miles from the Kaaba in Mecca.

 of

The Circle of the Dark Moon Coven & School of Wicca, Wytchcrafte & Magick

The “Grimoire of the Wicca” was originally a ‘dump’ of an old pagan BBS that dated back to days of Dungeons and Dragons. This compilation contains Wiccan and Occult knowledge, rituals, and rants. This tome is more a reference book than a how-to book however as I said earlier you will find some (actually quite a few rituals) and the lore behind these rituals. This e-book is presented as a service by the Circle of the Dark Moon coven. We believe that when prudent and safe, Wiccan, occult, and magickal knowledge should be shared. How else do people learn?

The below link will allow the downloading of a zip file. This .ZIP file contains all the files for side-loading onto your e-Reader. The book is in ePub format so it should be compatible with most e-Readers.

Elemental Breath Control Meditation

   Posted by: Scrivener

Untitled-2A variation to simply counting your breaths when meditating is to recite the five elements while practicing breath control. For instance, while breathing in say to yourself and visualize the elements as they appear on the points of a pentagram. Breathe in, “Water, Fire, Earth, Air, Spirit.” Hold that breath, “Water, Fire, Earth, Air, Spirit.” Exhale slowly, “Water, Fire, Earth, Air, Spirit.” Hold that breath at the bottom and recite, “Water, Fire, Earth, Air, Spirit.” Repeat five times—one time for each element. When you are finished, you may want to reach above your head and feel the energy as you pull it down into yourself. You may visualize this energy coming from the moon, sun, stars, or just the Earth in general. Once you’ve drawn this energy to yourself, spread your arms to either side and drop a circle about yourself. You are now ready to begin the main part of your meditation where you may contact your spirit guides, contemplate some aspect of the occult, or seek Divine help.

The Wheel of the Year

   Posted by: Scrivener

The Wheel
of the
Year

Samhain–October 31

Yule–December 19-22

Imbolc–February 1 or 2

Ostara–March 19-22

Beltaine–May 1

Midsummer–June 19-21

Lughnasadh–August 1

Mabon–September 19-22

Samhain — October 31. Pronounced “sow-en” (like the pig), not “Sam Hain.” The pagan new year, and the last harvest festival of the calendar year. Traditional foods include pumpkins, squash, and nuts. This is the time of year when pagans celebrate their ancestors and their heritage. Traditionally, an extra place is set and the food from that setting is put outside over night. Anything left in the morning is buried. This is also the time of year when the veil between the land of the living and the spirit world is thinnest, allowing communication with ancestors, necromancy, and the like. It is a good time for divination, notably a look at the year to come. In Wicca, the re-emergence of the goddess from the underworld is indicated, as in the story of Persephone, and we bid the god goodbye as we prepare for his Yule rebirth.

Yule/Winter Solstice/Midwinter — December 19-22, the exact time and date occurring when the sun passes into Capricorn. The time of greatest darkness and the longest night/shortest day of the year. The rebirth of the Wiccan god, signifying the re-emergence of the sun, as days will now begin to lengthen once more. There is a renewal of hope and optimism. In modern times Pagans often celebrate this holiday as Christians do Christmas, with feasting and gift-giving, Yule trees, decorations, and so forth.

Imbolc/Imbolic/Imbolg/Candlemas — February 1 or 2. The very earliest signs of spring and a celebration of the growing light. The Wiccan goddess is nurturing the young god. This is a time of new growth and regeneration. The planting of seeds is one way of celebrating. Creative tasks in general are positive points of focus.

Ostara/Spring Equinox — March 19-22, the exact time and date occurring when the sun passes into Aries. This is the first day of spring. The days and nights are now of equal length. The Wiccan god continues to mature and love is in the air… this is the time for many species of animal to breed, and even humans seem to be focused more in a romantic direction. New buds are appearing on the trees and flowers are blooming. Cut flowers decorate altars and feasts of in-season foods are appropriate.

Beltaine/Beltane/May Day — May 1. Spring is in full bloom. The Wiccan goddess and god are united in love. There is a focus on physical union in rites at this time, in often love-focused rituals. There are bonfires, and Maypoles, which are phallic symbols. As usual, seasonal foods are appropriate for feasting, as are cut flowers.

Midsummer/Summer Solstice — June 19-22, the exact time and date occurring when the sun passes into Cancer. The longest day and shortest night of the year. The Wiccan goddess and god are in the heat of their union. Herbs are harvested and young animals are growing. It’s the time of year for travel, weddings and handfastings, social gatherings like barbeques, etc. Crops grow between the times of planting and harvest.

Lughnasadh/Lammas — August 1. The First Harvest, of three. Many foods are being harvested: early grains, fruits, vegetables. There is a wide variety of choices for the sabbat feast, and canning begins. Young animals are growing strong. Our creative ventures begun in spring begin to bear fruit. Days are still long and yet they are waning; there is a lazy feeling in the evening air.

Mabon/Autumn Equinox — September 19-22, the exact time and date occurring when the sun passes into Libra. Once again the day and night are of the exact same length. This is the Second Harvest, the continuing harvest. More canning and preserving are done. The nights are cool and the leaves are turning, beginning to fall. We begin to prepare for the cold winter months ahead.
